Oh, to Soar where Eagles Fly 1/25/93
J. Bokelman
Oh, to soar where eagles fly,
To climb higher than the sky.
The sky is falling beneath my feet,
The earth trembles
In its foundation's seat.
It falls apart, to the left and right, and all around,
But I soar above,
The Wings I've found.
The wings of the Creator, the wind of the Holy Ghost,
These are all that keep me aloft, in this world without hope.
The wings are that of an eagle, stepping from the cliff.
He steps out to use his wings,
To hear the air on his feathers sing.
The air is hard as granite
Supporting the eagle, while the wings are spread.
But if the wings are furled,
He will fall to destruction, on the earth instead.
Listen close, listen to hear:
Keep your wings in the air,
Keep your eyes on the lord,
Your weakened strength will be renewed.
Wait on the lord,
Serve HaShem with all your strength and might.
Obey His Eternal Word, and you will soar, up to the
Highest Height.
