how can we exist without your love
can we possibly sustain life without projecting source and purpose
what merit remotely exists of our own empty signatures
we see our shortfalls and suffer lack
allowing our emptyness to embitter our vision
our brokenness to erode our bodies
holding to constructs and structures and words
never abandoning our ruinous foundations
that God blueprinted to be fortified lighthouses: our lives
Pour upon us, oh God
Teach us not your words, but your heart
stitch us into you and melt our shards together
forge our scrambled bits into tools of your love
and polish our faces into lenses projecting you
The storm is rising, lash us fast to thee
purge us from ourselves and wash us to your feet
let our ruins be washed away, oh let the water come
though I cannot hope for strength your spirit-surge fills my form
The water threatens crush me while like a ghost I rise
the world's pallour fades as I become alive
Who can boast in life eternal-
for want of love it would be but curse
but death itself in love is a lost power
and breath suspends at my beloved's gaze
and my beloved looks at me
It is not fright which stops my heart
and starts it again in earnest
It is not fear that casts me down
to kneal upon His feet
It is love,
my soul and heart burn bright
It is light
His gaze is in my eyes
Kings and their warroirs
drop their weapons in awe
while the earth and sky tremble
when words ring insufficient
passionate songs all seem empty
and all colour seems grey
for my Savior, He loves me
with matchless overwhelming
the brokenness melted - the pools reflect Him
His projections of glory engulf my senses
His colours are splendor and splatter the air
while my rapture waits for nothing
I don't really care
for He loves me
and thats all that matters
He loves me truely
His love is divine.
