He Alone is God
Why can't we have forever
instead of pain today?
Because to each day is a choice,
to bless or curse.
To drag our fingers through the pain
to worship anyway.
Clutching our sword in the fog of battle
even against hope
standing with praise
for the King.
Each day is set of moments
to again serve loyalty.
To find strength and character
to live forever.
And if it ends with my next breath,
my King Himself will be my ensign.
His hands my only memory,
and His face the intent of all my praise.
To Him I will live:
to Him I and my heart will bow,
through what brokenness I am
and with what wholeness
He grants to me.
To Him be all Glory,
to Him be all Power.
All majesty raise its voice,
and all righteousness shout His name!
He alone is Worthy,
He alone is Holy!
He indeed,
He alone is God.

Final Page
I read the last page of the book.
Stones and gates that were a pearl apiece,
and gold like glass,
and light - the light of Glory.
Then over and over: I come.
And the angel said to Worship God,
And everyone said, "come."
Take freely the water of life.
In grace, come worship.
The end of the book leaves us to Worship at His face
After describing Physical Glory and His grace.
Can the River be worship: the water of His Life,
Washing away the curse, flowing from the Throne?
And His throne is in the tree.
Is He enthoned on the praises of His people?
I didn't imagine this, it stands for the reading.
It speaks of salvation.
it speaks of eternity.

Worship Rising
and let me rise in worship
to touch the songs
that fade our pains away
and let me bow my face
before the God I serve
so freedom can breathe through me
carry my purpose
revive my frame
at long last let me worship
and whisper my King's name
withstand all earth's tempest
suffer all it's pain
I will live only if I can worship
and endlessly sing again
if my voice fades
and my strength dies
Death himself can bring only lies
if the wind carries worship
and the trees clap to song
for life itself clamors in purpose
and sustenance exists not by breath or by bread
but by the connection of heart
and but by worship
eternity holds this
all else must end
so rise with me in worship
touching songs that melt pains away
falling face down to whisper His Name

Grace Left me Scarred
Grace left me scarred.
But what did we expect after grace found me
so dead I was no longer bleeding.
I was raised in resurrection,
and the hurt began to heal,
the cleansing kind of burned, the infection
was pretty deep and still bites back sometimes,
but grace still leads me on.
There is sensitivity to things I did not know exist,
the voice of God, the sound of His breath...
and things that ultimately injured me,
even their thought is pain.
So it feels like even in brokenness
there is perfection.
A kind of reminder of what has past,
a sign of what is built to come.
So there is a scar reminding me of death,
showing me I'll one day be whole,
telling me of the grace-brought redemption,
and slowly healing
in the touch of my Lord.
